Common Problems I See
Batteries dead overnight or won't hold a charge
Parasitic draw, a failed converter, or a bad battery. I test converter output and the battery under load before recommending replacements.
No power when plugged into shore power
Transfer switch, breaker, or shore cord. I test at the pedestal first and work inward.
WFCO converter boiling the batteries or not charging
WFCO converters are common and have known failure modes. I test output voltage and decide repair vs replacement honestly.
Inverter runs down the battery fast
Often a charging setup problem, not the inverter. I check the converter and charge profile first.

GFCI keeps tripping
Moisture in an outside outlet, a failed water heater element, or a pinched wire. I isolate the circuit, not just replace the GFCI.
Upgrading to lithium and not sure what else to change
Lithium needs a different charge profile. I set the converter/charger and BMS correctly so you don't kill the new batteries.
Central Valley–Specific Notes
Central Valley heat kills batteries faster — a battery that's fine in cooler climates sulfates and dies out here in a season or two, especially in storage-lot rigs that never get a maintenance charge. WFCO converters are the default in most rigs I see around Stockton and Manteca, and they have well-known charging quirks. If you're upgrading to lithium, the charge profile has to change or you'll wreck the new bank. I test the whole charging path, not just the battery, because a 'bad battery' is often a bad converter that'll kill the next one too.
Do I need to replace my converter if I switch to lithium?
Often yes, or it needs reconfiguration. Lithium needs a different charge voltage. I'll check yours and tell you whether it can be set up for lithium or needs to go.
My batteries keep dying — is it the battery or the converter?
I test both under load before recommending anything. A dead converter kills new batteries in weeks, so replacing just the battery wastes your money if the converter's the problem.
Can you fix a GFCI that keeps tripping?
Yes. I isolate which circuit is leaking — usually moisture in an outside outlet or a water heater element — instead of just swapping the outlet.
Do you install solar and charge controllers?
I install and wire charge controllers and battery monitors and make sure the charging path is right. I'll tell you honestly what your setup can support.
