Service Description

If you know something's wrong but not what, start here. Won't crank. Starts and dies. Surges or hunts. Won't hold load. Flashing a fault code that means nothing to you. This booking is for finding out what's actually going on — professionally, at your RV, before anybody spends money on parts. I come to you. Driveway, storage lot, campground, marina. No towing, no dropping it at a shop, no waiting two weeks for a service bay. What this booking covers — two hours One hour mobile service call. My travel out to wherever your RV is parked. One hour of troubleshooting and diagnostics. Fault code retrieval, control board and wiring checks, fuel delivery and ignition testing, and a load test to see how the unit behaves under real demand instead of just at idle. What you walk away with A plain-English explanation of what's wrong and why, plus a quote for the repair if parts or more labor are needed. A fair number of generator problems get solved inside this diagnostic hour — if yours is one of them, you're running again the same visit. What's not included: Parts, and repair labor beyond the diagnostic hour. If the fix runs longer, I tell you the number before I pick the tools back up. No surprises after the fact. Who this is for... Owners who know the generator isn't right but don't know why. If you've already had it diagnosed and know the part you need, call me first, you may not need the full diagnostic, and I'd rather save you the hour. Onan & Generac & Predator. Veteran-owned, one tech...one solution. Questions before you book? Call or text (209) 901-7667.

Cancellation Policy

GENERATOR SERVICE POLICY DEPOSIT A $100 deposit applies to every service booked online. It is not an extra fee; it applies to your final bill. Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours notice and the deposit carries over or is refunded in full. Cancel with less notice, or if no one is on site when I arrive, and the deposit is forfeited. If I reschedule on you, your deposit carries over at no charge. TIME & BILLING Both services are billed by time, starting with a one-hour service call for travel to your RV. Diagnostic: 1 hr service call + 1 hr troubleshooting and code reading. Tune-Up: 1 hr service call + 1.5 hr(s) maintenance. If work runs past your booked time, I stop and give you the number before continuing. Nothing is added to your bill without your OK. THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE COVERS THE DIAGNOSIS When you book a diagnostic you are paying for my time and my answer, not for a repair. The fee is due whether or not you proceed. You get a straight explanation and a quote to fix it. Most of these bookings end with the generator running again before I leave, Onan especially. PARTS Parts are included in the tune-up price for most units; oversized or specialty parts are quoted first. Some older-unit parts are discontinued; if yours is not worth repairing, I will say so. WHAT I NEED ON SITE Keys or gate codes for the RV; permission to work there (some parks and storage lots bar contractors); a clear generator compartment; a charged house battery, since a generator that will not crank cannot be diagnosed; and fuel above a quarter tank, as most stop drawing below that and a low tank mimics a fuel fault. Pets secured, room to park the truck. If I cannot work for one of these reasons, the deposit is forfeited. NOT INCLUDED Engines, drivetrain and chassis mechanicals; towing; manufacturer warranty claims; body or frame work. I service the house side of your RV. WARRANTY Labor is warranted 90 days on the specific repair performed; if the same fault returns in that window I come back at no extra service call charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. Not covered: a different fault appearing later, damage from running a unit I advised you to shut down, or work performed by others after mine. SAFETY If I find a propane leak, unsafe wiring, or a carbon monoxide risk, I will tell you and may decline to restart the unit. I may also decline for unsafe conditions and will reschedule, not charge you. Questions? Call or text Rob (209) 901-7667, 7 AM-9 PM daily.
