Cancellation Policy

GENERATOR SERVICE POLICY DEPOSIT A $100 deposit applies to every service booked online. It is not an extra fee; it applies to your final bill. Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours notice and the deposit carries over or is refunded in full. Cancel with less notice, or if no one is on site when I arrive, and the deposit is forfeited. If I reschedule on you, your deposit carries over at no charge. TIME & BILLING Both services are billed by time, starting with a one-hour service call for travel to your RV. Diagnostic: 1 hr service call + 1 hr troubleshooting and code reading. Tune-Up: 1 hr service call + 1.5 hr(s) maintenance. If work runs past your booked time, I stop and give you the number before continuing. Nothing is added to your bill without your OK. THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE COVERS THE DIAGNOSIS When you book a diagnostic you are paying for my time and my answer, not for a repair. The fee is due whether or not you proceed. You get a straight explanation and a quote to fix it. Most of these bookings end with the generator running again before I leave, Onan especially. PARTS Parts are included in the tune-up price for most units; oversized or specialty parts are quoted first. Some older-unit parts are discontinued; if yours is not worth repairing, I will say so. WHAT I NEED ON SITE Keys or gate codes for the RV; permission to work there (some parks and storage lots bar contractors); a clear generator compartment; a charged house battery, since a generator that will not crank cannot be diagnosed; and fuel above a quarter tank, as most stop drawing below that and a low tank mimics a fuel fault. Pets secured, room to park the truck. If I cannot work for one of these reasons, the deposit is forfeited. NOT INCLUDED Engines, drivetrain and chassis mechanicals; towing; manufacturer warranty claims; body or frame work. I service the house side of your RV. WARRANTY Labor is warranted 90 days on the specific repair performed; if the same fault returns in that window I come back at no extra service call charge. Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty. Not covered: a different fault appearing later, damage from running a unit I advised you to shut down, or work performed by others after mine. SAFETY If I find a propane leak, unsafe wiring, or a carbon monoxide risk, I will tell you and may decline to restart the unit.
